I was in my second semester of college when I met him. He was in my biology class. It was the class I had been dreading since the day I walked into my dorm on campus. I found myself sitting at the large biology table much faster than I thought I would.
Each time a guy walked into the room, I assessed his lap partner potential. Would he be able to handle all the cutting and touching while I wrote the papers? Did he seem wimpy or strong? Did he look like he was going to chicken out? A few of them seemed to have potential. I needed to find someone who was willing to go the distance, so I could just melt into the background and go unnoticed by the professor.
Then he walked in. As soon as I saw him, I knew he was the one. Just looking at him jumbled my thoughts. He was tall, dark, and muscular. I was sure he could handle the job of dissecting a frog and whatever else they threw our way. Every girl in the room ogled him when he walked through that door. Be confident, I thought to myself. I pulled my shoulders back and sat up with confidence until the moment out eyes connected.
I was still stuck in my thoughts when I saw him walking in my direction. Just walk by, I thought, not sure if I could handle being next to Mr. Sexy all semester. There was no way I needed any distractions. I had to keep my mind on my grades. He stopped when he got to the table I was occupying and I froze.
“Is this seat available?” he asked.
That was the beginning of it all.

I LOVE this new series from Cindy Wilder. This introductory installment introduces us to Tara and Brad. You can't help but root for this budding friendship to grow into a long term relationship. Both of these characters have lost someone and carry the baggage of that lost along with them. It is that baggage that allows them to take the next step and discover their true feelings for each other.This short story is filled with drama and real emotions from the characters. I loved starting this new series and was a little frustrated when the story ended. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!!
I highly recommend this story. Cindy Wilder has given us another series that will hook your attention from the very beginning and leave you desperate to find out what happens next!!!

Tara had always counted with her father since her mom passed away and no matter what she always missed her. So when she started her first semester of university she knew she had to do good to show her father his sacrifices were paying off.
But she knew she would need a good lab partner in order to do well in her class the last thing she imagined have this smart and gorgeous lab partner.
Bradley or Brad had always had it easy with school work now at home he always tried to help their mother since his abusive father walked out on him and his other two brothers.
Finding a real friend on Tara was easy for him, keeping all the feelings that were awakening for her was not. But he would never do anything to make her feel uncomfortable.
Could this two young friends take their friendship to the next level or will they keep their attraction to themselves?
Tara and Brad's story will take you to a nice, lovable ride for now but I have a feeling this story will have a crazy twist and turned and for once I can't wait to find out what it is.
This is a different kind of step brother/sister forbidden story. If you like that kind of forbidden love stories then you will love this one.
I recommend it and like me you will want to continue this journey.
